Application Security

Security That Ships With Your Code

Controls built into your pipelines, not bolted on after release

Overview

Security Built Into Every Commit, Build and Deploy

Security reviews at the end of a release cycle slow teams down and still miss what changed yesterday. DevSecOps moves those checks into the places your engineers already work: pull requests, CI pipelines, package installs and deployments.

Cyphlon designs and implements these controls with your team, using the same tooling we build and run ourselves: continuous code and dependency scanning, policy as code for your API gateways, and install-time protection against malicious packages. You keep pipelines your engineers can own.

Approach

How We Implement DevSecOps

Step 01

Maturity Assessment

We map your repositories, pipelines and release process against the OWASP DevSecOps Maturity Model (DSOMM) and agree which gaps to close first.

Step 02

Pipeline Integration

We add SAST, dependency, secret and infrastructure-as-code scanning to your CI, tuned so findings are ranked by real risk instead of flooding every pull request.

Step 03

Supply Chain Controls

We enforce dependency and package policies at install time and in CI, and generate SBOMs you can hand to auditors.

Step 04

Policy as Code

Security rules for gateways, infrastructure and access live in git, are reviewed like code, and fail the build when they drift.

Step 05

Handover & Enablement

We document every control, train your engineers on the workflow, and stay available while your team takes ownership.

Benefits

Why DevSecOps Matters for Your Business

Faster, Safer Releases

Issues are caught in the pull request, where they are cheapest to fix, instead of in a pre-release audit.

Fewer False Positives

Tuned rules and risk-based triage keep engineers focused on findings that are actually exploitable.

Continuous Compliance Evidence

Scans, policies and SBOMs produce the evidence SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits ask for as a side effect of shipping.

Supply Chain Protection

Malicious and typosquatted dependencies are blocked before they reach a developer machine or a build.

Why us

Why Cyphlon for DevSecOps

01

We Build the Tools We Deploy

Our own products, including DSO, Chainsaw and X-Security, run the same controls we implement for clients.

02

Engineers in Your Pipelines

We work in your repositories and CI alongside your team and leave working automation behind, with the documentation to run it.

03

Open Tooling Where It Fits

We use open-source tools where they are the right choice. Chainsaw's core and X-Security are open source themselves.

04

Clear, Actionable Reporting

Executive summaries for leadership and step-by-step remediation for engineers.

1:1 Consultation Call

30 min Google Meet

An introductory call with our engineers about any engagement: a pentest, continuous testing, managed AppSec, security engineering, agentic AI security or a fractional CISO. We'll ask about your stack, your deadlines and what your customers or auditors expect, and tell you plainly if we're not the right fit.
